Higher cut, more support
RAX boots bring the collar above the ankle for walks where the ground is uneven, the pack is heavier or the weather turns. Uppers combine leather, suede and microfiber with textile panels, so each style balances protection against weight in its own way. Padded collars and firm heel counters keep the foot settled on descents, and the lugged rubber outsoles are cut for loose ground and wet rock.
Choosing between styles
Start with the terrain you walk most. A mid-top gives ankle coverage without the bulk of a full boot and suits day hikes and travel. A boot with a taller collar and a fuller lining is the better choice for cold mornings, scree and multi-day trips.
