Every Blazer Hiking stands on the RAX paw outsole. Rubber pods spread under the forefoot like the pads of a paw, and angled lugs run round the heel and edges, giving the sole plenty of edges to hold on gravel, dirt and rocky ground. It is the same outsole in all eight colours, so the colour you choose never changes the sole underneath.
The collar sits below the ankle, so nothing holds your ankle back as the trail rises, drops and twists. Laces pull the fit snug across the top of your foot, and a pull loop at the heel makes the shoe quick to get on and off at the start and end of a walk.
Inside every pair sits a RAX slow-rebound memory insole. It gives under your weight and springs back slowly, so the footbed eases into the shape of your foot as you walk. A perforated top cloth sits against your sock.
A sculpted, faceted midsole rises from the paw outsole, and shaped overlays frame the mesh upper, so the shoe holds its structure on rough ground. Mesh panels let air reach your foot on warm days, and the chunky, angular profile gives every colourway the same rugged trail look.
