Ridge Pro

Ridge Pro is built for the part of a walk where the ground stops being a path. Suede leather over the toe and heel, breathable textile through the middle, and the RAX paw outsole underneath. The collar sits higher than a trainer and lower than a boot, which keeps grit out without locking your ankle.

Materials and build

The upper is suede leather with textile panels, lined in synthetic mesh. The insole is EVA, so it cushions and springs back instead of flattening on the second day. The outsole is rubber, cut into the paw pattern RAX is known for, with deep lugs at heel and forefoot for braking on descents.

Fit and sizing

True to size. Take your usual number. The run goes from EU 39 to 47 in a medium width. In a thick walking sock you can lace looser at the top without losing the heel.

Terrain and use

Made for hiking and trekking on loose rock, dirt and scree. It is breathable rather than waterproof, and we would rather tell you now than let you find out in a stream. For wet ground, choose a shoe with a stated waterproof build.

Care

Brush the suede dry and never machine wash it. Rinse mud off the outsole with cold water, then dry the pair away from direct heat, which hardens leather and glue.
